This course will take a deeper dive into Swift programming by learning to create games! Apple’s superb 2D physics engine, called SpriteKit, is built into every Apple device to power games and graphics that you can learn to create! Improve your coding and design skills to make a great 2D game like Fruit Ninja, or Flappy Bird!

Previous programming experience is recommended, as well as familiarity with XCode and Swift syntax. A basic understanding of algebra, including variables, graph coordinates and functions, is strongly recommended.

Computer programming code runs your devices and the world. Our Programming courses prepare students with the skills they need to develop their own apps and games in languages such as C#, Java, and Swift. The iOS Game Programming course will teach students how to make their own games using Swift for their iPhone or iPad. Students will learn how to manage game assets and a game loop while mastering basic programming concepts. They’ll program their own interactive graphics, animations, special effects, and audio.

Lunch Plan

Get lunch on campus so you don’t have to pack your own. Lunch Plans start at $75/week at select locations.

Overnight Housing

Stay in the dorms and eat on-campus, Sunday through Friday. Overnight Housing is $695/week where available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to bring my own iPhone or iPad?

Students are required to bring their own iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch device. The device should be running the latest Apple iOS software and can not be a “jailbroken” device. Please perform any software updates prior to attending the course.
