One-Week Adventure | Ages 9-12

Discover Coding and AI with Python

Artifical Intelligence and automation are expected to replace nearly half of all jobs that are currently done by 16-24-year-olds. Get ahead of this trend by learning how the machines that will do those jobs work!

At the beginning of the week, students will get a chance to explore the world of artificial intelligence and machine learning, understanding how it affects our lives today and how it can be used for projects. Students also learn the basics of coding in Python. By the end of the week, students will have learned the foundations of programming and training machine learning models, creating dynamic, ‘smart’ projects like chatbots, image recognizers, and more.

About Artificial Intelligence + Coding Courses

Artificial Intelligence courses at Digital Media Academy are overseen by Dr. Yuval Shahar, M.D., Ph.D, an AI pioneer and leader in the field of artificial intelligence in medicine. Dr. Shahar is a computer scientist and physician, and a researcher in the multidisciplinary field of artificial intelligence in medicine, focusing on medical decision-support systems for physicians and for patients, and on automated knowledge discovery from time-oriented clinical data. Dr. Shahar received his Ph.D. from Stanford University, in 1994, where he continued to work as a Senior Research Scientist and Assistant Professor of Medicine (Biomedical Informatics) and Computer Science until 2000. In 2000, Dr. Shahar founded and began leading the Medical Informatics Research Center at Ben-Gurion University.

Computer programming code runs your devices and the world. In the AI and Machine Learning Academy, students will take a deep dive into the complex algorithms that are making computers smarter than ever. Use neural nets to finally beat that game you’ve never been able to or improve projects using computer vision to find patterns. No programming experience is required, but a strong understanding of algebra and comfort with mathematics is highly recommended. Explore more coding and artificial intelligence courses.
