Future Ready

You’ve Got Questions. We’ve Got Answers.

How are these courses different from “DMA Online” courses released a few years ago?
The courses available here are all new and completely different from the old DMA Online courses. We built these courses with curriculum developers and instructional designers for each specific age group.

How were the courses developed?
Digital Media Academy started by asking what we could do to help students gain an understanding of technology education at a fundamental level outside of summer. From there, we went through a curriculum development process that included creating all of the content for the courses; testing the content with students and educators; and working with educators to ensure the content worked fo different ages and knowledge levels.

How long will the courses be available?
Digital Media Academy’s Online Learning Centers will always be available. Over time courses may be enhanced, added, or removed. This special offer provides unlimited access until June, 1, 2020. You may purchase access after that but prices may be different.

How many hours of curriculum are included in one course?
Courses provide up to 15 hours of instructional value, depending on a student’s experience, interest, and ability to grasp the material covered.

Will more courses be added?
Yes! While more than a dozen courses are available for your child’s age group today more may be added in the future and as your child grows up they will have the opportunity to access additional courses we’ve designed and built for older students.

How are the courses delivered?
Courses are available online anytime from anywhere on any connected device. Courses are self-paced and students are encouraged to complete the curriculum at a pace that suits their learning style and lifestyle best.

What is the learning format of the courses?
Digital Media Academy’s Online Learning Centers use a learning format based on students completing courses that are divided into modules. Each module covers a specific topic and contains a series of lessons, assignments, critical thinking questions, and/or interactive videos. There are also quizzes, meant to quickly help students review and retain what they’ve learned, and challenges (where students actually create, produce and/or complete a task to practice their new skill). Students can earn badges for each achievement/mission that they complete.

What ages are eligible to use the Online Learning Center?
Currently, there are customized Online Learning Centers for ages 7-9 and ages 9-12. Our 40+ courses have been designed for students from kindergarten through graduation.

What does it cost?
$99 USD. This is a special introductory offer and includes unlimited access to an age appropriate Online Learning Center until June, 1, 2020. On June, 1, 2020 you will no longer be able to access the Online Learning Center and will receive email based communications about continued access. See terms & conditions for full details.

Is this a subscription?
No. This is not a subscription. There are no automatic recurring charges. This is a special one time offer to purchase unlimited access to an age appropriate online learning center until June, 1, 2020.

How do I purchase access to an Online Learning Center?
Simply “Add to Cart” above and then check out. If you’d prefer you can call our in house guest services team at 866.656.3342. They would be happy to help answer your questions and set up your account. You can also reach us at info@digitalmediaacademy.org for assistance.

Register, Log In, and Ramp Up!

Digital Media Academy’s Online Learning Center courses are inexpensive and convenient; students work on the course material at their own pace, according to their schedule. By offering a variety of courses we hope your child will have the opportunity to explore many potential career paths and learn more about the latest technology available.

Learning how technology is made and how it’s used is important to empower students of the future with the understanding to excel in an uncertain world.

Learn While Creating

All of our online courses make use of high quality, web-based software that works seamlessly on basic computers and tablets. Custom video content, interactive assignments, and projects give students a hands-on learning experience that starts unplugged and teaches students how to make technology not just how to use technology.
