Adventures Camps

One Week / Ages 8 – 12

Kids pursue their tech interest with hands-on, project-based learning experiences. Weeklong day camps offer fun and personalized instruction from industry experts, outdoor activities and more. Kids bring ideas to life at DMA.

Exceptional Teaching Staff

We are extremely passionate about what we do. Separate staff responsibilities allow us to focus on creating an unforgettable summer-camp and tech-learning experience for your child. DMA’s instructors include highly respected educators, accomplished artists and talented industry professionals who have a passion for teaching kids.

All DMA Tech Camps Feature Experienced Staff

Lead Instructors

Lead instructors are the Rock stars of our summer staff. They bring learning to life with a combination of skill, knowledge, and experience that you won’t find at other camps.

Our lead instructors have a driving passion for inspiring young learners and are supported by a year-round youth-development team that builds innovative and engaging curriculum.

Teaching Assistants

Typically, our Teaching Assistants (TA) are college students pursuing degrees in computer science, engineering or media-related fields. During the DMA camp season, TAs provide crucial instructional and student-development support.

TAs are great at connecting and inspiring teens, which allows them to lead character-building and recreational activities outside of the classroom.

Overnight Counselors

Youth Activities Counselors (YAC) are the glue that holds our overnight program together. They are enthusiastic, and have a natural ability to connect with youth.

Each night, YACs create a new adventure for campers, and these activities help get shy students to come out of their shells. YACs create a fun camp culture, while always putting the safety of our students first.

DMA Learning Experience

DMA’s unique Adventures learning experience is fueled by student and instructor passion for a subject. Hands-on, exploratory projects give Adventures campers the opportunity to learn by doing and creating. Small individual successes and collaboration with other students evolve as the week progresses and then culminates with a final project.

Hands-on, project-based learning designed to:

Spark Curiosity

A student’s curiosity is the compass that leads them to their individual passion. DMA’s immersive courses bring like-minded students together to inspire one another, and to explore their passion through creating.

Build Confidence

Confidence results from students gaining knowledge, skill and experience. Our instructional staff empowers students with this tool set by acting as their role models as they create meaningful projects with them.

Foster Teamwork

DMA courses are designed to encourage teamwork. We also provide students with the opportunity to celebrate their creative accomplishments by presenting and sharing them with their class.

A Well-Balanced Experience

At DMA it’s amazing to see how much kids learn and develop in one week. Our goals are to mentor students into becoming lifelong learners and instill a strong sense of accomplishment within each one of them. We also strongly believe in a well-balanced camp experience. In addition to class time, DMA provides Adventures campers with two “unplugged” outside breaks each day. During these breaks, we offer a wide range of recreational, team-based and character-building activities. We see this as the perfect opportunity to help campers make new friends and increase their personal confidence.

State-of-the-Art Technology

Dedicated Computer & Workspace

While DMA encourages collaboration, we also believe students perform better when they don’t have to share a computer with someone else. That’s why each DMA student has their own workspace and dedicated computer or tablet to use exclusively during the week.
