Digital Media Academy was originally founded in 2002 as part of Stanford University’s School of New Media. Today, our summer camps are still the perfect place for kids, teens, and adults to explore STEM topics like coding, robotics, and music production all while experiencing college life on the Loyola University Chicago campus.
We offer the widest variety of STEM summer courses at Loyola University Chicago, taught by the best instructors the region has to offer. Kids & teens can learn photography while exploring the university grounds or program a robot to do laps complete tasks and chores. Whatever they choose, they’ll come away with unforgettable memories, friends from all over the world, and a big step towards their future.

Camp Overview + Schedule
Take a look at your camp schedule, learn more about tuition and explore add-ons.
At the end of each week, attendees can invite their family and friends to join us for a showcase celebration to share their final projects. Learn more about the fun and exciting activities your child experienced during the week and have an opportunity to meet your child’s instructor. Presentations vary by course topic and instructors will highlight some of the important concepts covered during the week and possible next steps to continue your child’s learning. Arrive early as showcase begins at 3:00 and is typically finished by 4:00.

Get lunch on campus at University of Loyola Chicago so you don’t have to pack your own! Lunch Plans are $85/week.
Stay in the dorms and eat on-campus, Sunday through Friday. Overnight Housing is only available the weeks of July 22 and July 29 at Loyola University Chicago. Overnight Housing is $785/week.
Add Weekend Stay and enjoy extra activities and day trips around the area. Weekend Stay is available beginning Friday, July 26. Weekend Stay is $550/weekend.
Our flexible Extended Day option allows families to pick-up students as late as 6:00 PM from Monday to Thursday.

Loyola University Chicago Campus Facts
Loyola University Chicago’s flagship Lake Shore Campus is along the shores of Lake Michigan in the Rogers Park and Edgewater neighborhoods on the north side of Chicago, eight miles north of the Loop. Founded in 1912, it is the primary residential campus for the school, and is the home of the College of Arts and Sciences, and a variety of graduate programs. As a collection of over forty buildings, the campus offers ample green space and lakeshore access, as well as several landmarks.
Loyola University Chicago is comprised of eleven colleges and schools, offering over 80 undergraduate and 140 graduate programs and enrolls approximately 16,000 students. Loyola has also six campuses across the Chicago metropolitan area, as well as a campus in Rome and guest programs in Beijing and Ho Chi Minh City. The flagship Lake Shore Campus is where Digital Media Academy Tech Camps are held. The Lake Shore Campus is on the shores of Lake Michigan in the Rogers Park and Edgewater neighborhoods of Chicago, eight miles north of the Loop.
