Digital Media Academy is dedicated to making world-class STEM education more accessible to students of all circumstances and means.
Our needs-based financial assistance program makes camp possible for those who may not otherwise be able to attend. Applications will be accepted January 15, 2019 through May 15, 2019. Applicants must be awarded financial assistance prior to registering for camp. Have questions regarding financial assistance? Send us an email!

Awards will not be considered for July 8th – August 2nd. No applications will be accepted after May 15th. If you are applying for multiple students, you will need to fill out the form for each applicant.

What is the Application Process?
Application period begins Jan 15, 2019 and ends on May 15, 2019.
To be considered for financial assistance, all applicants must complete theDigital Media Academy Tech Camps Financial Assistance application in full by clicking on the Apply for Financial Assistance button on this page. You will need the following information to complete your application:
- A written statement/essay that describes how you will apply your Digital Media Academy Tech Camps training in your occupation, education, and/or personal life.
- A signed copy of the first two pages of your federal tax form (i.e. 1040) from 2017 or 2018. If you are under 18 or a full time student, a parent or legal guardian’s tax form must be included. If you do not file taxes, you must provide official proof that you are exempt from filing. If you are exempt from filing, you must provide your financial records for the last 12 months, including all saving, checking, interest or related liquid assets (i.e. banking statements).
- Digital Media Academy Tech Camps location, course title, and dates.
International Applicants: If you do not have a government-approved tax filing documentation, you must provide an alternative form of government-approved documentation as proof of your current financial situation as outlined above.
Digital Media Academy Tech Camps will only consider and process financial aid applications that include all the supporting documentation outlined above. Incomplete applications or applications that do not include 2017 or 2018 tax returns will not be processed. (No exceptions.)
Please note this award is for camp tuition only and does not cover housing, meals or any other add-ons.
Your scholarship award may not be combined and any other discounts being offered will not apply. If a grant is awarded from another organization the money collected will help offset the scholarship provided by Digital Media Academy Tech Camps and will not be refunded. All standard terms and conditions will apply so please review our cancellation policy prior to registering.
All applicants that have already submitted a financial aid application in previous years must re-submit their information in order to be considered for financial aid in the current year.
Digital Media Academy Tech Camps will not offer aid retroactively for any course that has already been paid in full for this season.
Any down payment, payment plan, or other payment option used will forfeit any aid.
Financial assistance is not guaranteed. You will be notified via email as follows:
- Applications received between January 15 and Feb 15, 2019 will receive a response on March 1, 2019.
- All applications received Feb 16 – March 15, 2019 will receive a response on April 1, 2019.
- All applications received March 16 – April 15, 2019 will receive a response on May 1, 2019.
- All applications received April 19 – May 15, 2019 will receive a response on June 1, 2019.
No applications will be accepted after May 15th.

Financial Aid Registration Terms, Cancellation, & Refund Policy
Cancellations received in writing beginning February 2, 2019, and up to 45 days prior to the start of a Program will incur a cancellation fee of 30% of the total bill, including add-ons and any other fees. Customers may choose to leave their refund as a credit on their account for 12 months. The new registration must be completed within one year of cancellation date; in this case, credits will be retained in full, without incurring any cancellation fees. The credits can only be redeemed for the following season.
Cancellations made inside of 45 days of the first day of camp are not eligible for a refund or any kind of credit.
No refunds will be issued for early withdrawal or dismissal due to absences for any reason, including sickness (except with a doctor’s note), behavioral dismissals, power failures, weather, and unforeseeable events not within the control of Digital Media Academy Tech Camps or other acts of nature. If Participants leave a Program early for any reason, the tuition will not be prorated and no refund will be issued.
If a Participant cannot attend Digital Media Academy Tech Camps due to an unexpected family emergency or illness, Digital Media Academy Tech Camps must receive an official signed doctor’s note within a week of the absence. The doctor’s note must be dated, signed by the doctor, and list the child’s date of birth as well as their full name. The doctor’s note must be scanned and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org within one week of the absence. Digital Media Academy Tech Camps will make every attempt to accommodate the Participant in an alternate Program. However, all other cancellation policies still apply. No exceptions.
Attendance Policy: Due to the nature of our courses, attendance is crucial to the success of our program. If your child will be absent, you must notify the Director no later than 9 am. A student may not miss more than one day per a 5-day long course, without a doctor’s note. It will be at the discretion of the instructor if the student can remain in the class.
