Become a Real Animator for a Short Film

This course introduces students to a professional studio experience where their goal is to create a 3D animated short film from scratch using Autodesk Maya. We will guide students through the process of developing workflow and utilizing the advanced tools in this powerful application, teaching them modeling, texturing, surfacing, lighting, animation, rendering and more.

This course is a two-week intensive experience designed for students comfortable with 3D modeling and animation who are looking for a real-world experience of working in a 3D film studio like Pixar. Students will be responsible for all aspects of production, from developing their own original story, creating storyboards and concept art to finalizing textures, animation, character models, and lighting in a complete short film.
