Course Information

Get ready for a fun and meaningful camp experience through project-based learning.

What Students Learn

• Fundamentals in color theory, composition, and design to help construct your worlds and the characters which inhabit them.
• 
Fundamentals in storyboarding, staging, along with the 12 principles of animation to help bring your drawings to life.
• 
Develop a deeper understanding of the roles within the animation industry, see the development cycle for film, television, and print media (graphic novels, comic books/manga, children’s books, etc.)
• Learn to communicate your ideas visually and verbally, work in a fun and collaborative environment with your instructors and peers.
• 
Gain a solid grasp on the fundamentals in both Adobe Photoshop and Toon Boom Harmony.

More About This Course

Our 3D Modeling + Design courses prepare students with the skills they will need working in a professional 3D modeling, animation, and design environment. The 2D Animation & Digital Illustration course allows students to explore digital illustration using Adobe Photoshop and animation concepts using Toon Boom Harmony. Students will explore professional workflows as they develop animation and illustration skills working on original projects. You’ll complete the week by putting together a portfolio of your work that can be shared with friends and family or included with a college submission.

Lunch Plan

Get lunch on campus so you don’t have to pack your own. Lunch Plans start at $75/week at select locations.

Overnight Housing

Stay in the dorms and eat on-campus, Sunday through Friday. Overnight Housing is $695/week where available.

Weekend Stay

Add Weekend Stay and enjoy extra activities and day trips around the area. Weekend Stay is $395/weekend at select locations.
