For Max and brother Jack, DMA wasn’t just “fine.” It was a fantastic place to spend last summer.

Both Max and Jack had a great DMA experience and they’re coming back this summer!

Digital Media Academy’s tech camps at UCLA were extra convenient for 12-year-old Max and his family, who live in nearby West Los Angeles.

Max spent two weeks at DMA. During his first week, he took our one of our filmmaking camps for kids.

Then, during a second week, Max attended DMA to learn animation. His 10-year-old brother, Jack, also attended our UCLA location.

Here’s what Max had to say about his experience:

What did you actually create at DMA tech camp?
I created a stop-motion stick/clay monster and stop-motion pictures.

And how did it make you feel when you completed your final project?
I felt exhausted and happy when I finished my final project.

What were the most fun things about attending DMA tech camp?
Making a stop-motion video and next time I want to do more work with the software. I also want to do more work with my brother, who was in the the filmmaking camp with me.

Did you make any friends at DMA camp this summer?
Yes, I made friends at DMA camp this summer. I lost count of how many because I have trouble remembering names.

Do you think you’ll use what you learned at DMA, now that you’re back at your regular school?
Yes, I think I’ll use what I learned at camp at school by possibly creating an animated comic book, maybe with one of my classes.

Would you consider returning to DMA this coming summer?
Yes, I want to come back to another camp this summer – attending the same ones I did last summer, as well as DMA camp for LEGO Mindstorms.

I think I’ll use what I learned at camp at school by creating an animated comic book…

Would you suggest DMA tech camps to your best friends and their parents?
Yes, I would.

Were your parents pleased with your DMA experience?
