Duke is King. That was the title of a commemorative video issued after Duke University won the 1991 NCAA mens basketball championship, just one of its five national titles. And here we are 24 years later and that title is still true. Duke is once again the reigning national basketball champ.

As titles go, it’s pretty hard to dispute. And it points to a larger fact: No matter what the activity, be it academics or sports, Duke University simply will not be denied. It’s always gunning to be Number 1.

Duke is famous for the high-spirited “Cameron Crazies” students who cheer on the Blue Devils.

And we’re super-excited. Because, for the first time ever, we’re bringing Digital Media Academy’s tech-camp program to Duke this summer!

Southern Ivy League

Since its 1838 founding, Duke University has built a reputation that has few equals among U.S. institutions of higher learning. It’s known as a tech mecca, and one of the three points that make up North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park (RTP).

At 7,000 total acres, RTP is recognized as the largest research park in the U.S. and one of the biggest in the world. It’s home to more than 190 companies, including major tech giants such as Cisco Systems and GlaxoSmithKline, as well as IBM’s largest facility in the U.S.

It’s time to get your tech on…this summer at DMA’s tech camps at Duke.

Duke has been called “Southern Ivy League,” because of its sterling academic reputation and its location in Durham, N.C.

Families in North Carolina have been clamoring for DMA to bring its celebrated tech-camp program to the state, and now they have their chance, on the campus of one of the nation’s most prestigious schools.

Duke is the perfect location for DMA, because it’s such a tech-centric school. It’s nationally recognized for having standout academic programs in many STEM-related subjects: biology, biomedical engineering, chemistry, molecular genetics, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering.

Similarly, DMA is known nationally and internationally for its hands-on, project-based approach to learning. And in addition to its new DMA tech camp locations, this year DMA is introducing tech camps based on cool subjects that exist completely on the cutting edge – such as virtual reality, wearable tech and 3D printing.

Duke is a tech mecca that attracts all ages of learners, as it will be this summer at DMA tech camps.

The holidays bring with them the chance to save BIG. DMA’s best savings of the year are now in force, through Monday, Dec. 21st. Save $100 on each camp registration you book now. And there’s no limit on how many discounts you can take!
