Hands-on Robotics and Programming for Teens
Design, build and program your own robots
This hands-on course will immerse you in the exciting and popular world of robotics. As you build, program, and test a variety of LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT robots, you'll create robotic solutions to problems set in real world environments. You'll explore a variety of different robots such as; drive designs, walking robots and rope climbing robots and you'll apply all that knowledge gained when creating your own “sumo-bot." An exciting robotic sumo competition culminates the course and offers students the opportunity to work in small teams and create sumo-bots, a type of robot that pushes its opponent off an arena.
This course will challenge you to think critically and work with others to solve problems. Whether you’re brand new to programming and robotics or an aspiring engineer, you’ll expand your knowledge while having an awesome time with classmates who share your interests.
