Teens:Academy for Digital Filmmaking

Teen Filmmaking Experience powered by Apple, Adobe, Sony and Photoflex

Aspiring filmmakers, look no further! This two-week, hands-on professional digital filmmaking experience is your opportunity to learn from the best while utilizing professional video cameras, lighting equipment and software from Apple, Adobe, Sony and Photoflex. Experience every stage of production, from planning and writing to shooting and advanced editing.  Explore complex visual effects, and motion graphics, along with professional audio capture and editing.

The program concludes with a screening event where each film is presented to the students and staff at DMA. This is an amazing opportunity to receive professional critique and get feedback and praise from peers.

All students will leave with a portfolio of work and have the opportunity to enter their professionally produced film into an art and film festival sponsored by the Digital Media Academy and the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus – with the chance to win incredible prizes. Top films will even be featured on the Digital Media Academy website, with opportunities for entry into other mainstream film festivals.

Don’t miss this opportunity to build lasting friendships as you explore a future in filmmaking!

Academy for Digital Filmmaking instructors are a combination of university-level faculty, filmmakers, and industry professionals. An optional eight units of Stanford Continuing Studies Credit is available for this two-week program wherever it is offered.
