Teens: Digital Media Academy Certification: Digital Filmmaking

Overview

DMA has a 3-week, modular, Digital Filmmaking certification program for teens. This program, developed specifically for teens, brings everything taught in a university level film school into a project based, immersive, hands on summer experience.

DMA’s Hands On Digital Filmmaking for Teens Certification Program is created from a series of unique courses that together cover all of the major components of the digital filmmaking workflow and process. Students have flexibility on which courses they want to attend to acheive their certification. Each week stands alone as a complete learning experience with a defined set of objectives and a final project enabling students to customize their experience.

Outcome

Being DMA Certified means that the student has touched on all major parts of the Digital Filmmaking process and work flow, and has also demonstrated a high level of proficiency with industry standard production equipment and post production tools such Final Cut Pro® by Apple® and Adobe® After Effects®. The outcome of this 3-week track of courses is a student authored DVD with a portfolio of short films and video projects. These projects will display the student’s skills with both the artistic and technical sides of video production & post production.
