Kids & Teens Summer Camps at The George Washington University
Summer Camps & Computer Training
It’s an exciting time to be a young person in DC, and Digital Media Academy summer camps at GW multiply the fun factor. Teens, pre-teens and kids can choose from an amazing variety of camps, including action sports filmmaking, programming with C++, game design, role playing games, art and digital photography, or robotics. Beyond the computer lab, teens and kids can explore the nation’s capital with their fellow campers during DMA-organized group excursions. With options for day camps and residential overnight programs, Digital Media Academy summer camps at George Washington give your family the flexibility to plan a vacation in the DC area while your teen or kid enjoys this unique summer enrichment experience.
The George Washington University (GW) was founded in 1821 by an Act of Congress that sought to honor the hope of our nation’s first president that a higher education institution would be established within the limits of the District of Columbia. Comprising approximately 70 total acres, the university consists of two campuses located within five miles. The Mount Vernon campus, on which our program will be held, is a more traditional college campus setting nestled within a residential neighborhood. The close proximity of this campus to the downtown area provides ample opportunities to tour our nation’s foundational history. A visit to the White House, a tour of government buildings and national monuments, or an afternoon at one of the Smithsonian Museums are among the many options available to visitors wanting to experience the DC area.
