Learn How 3D Artists Create Worlds and Characters

Autodesk® Maya® is used extensively by Hollywood artists for creating, modeling, animating, and lighting realistic characters and worlds for films like Monsters vs. Aliens™, Shrek™, and Kung Fu Panda™. If you want to create 3D graphics for films like the professionals do, then this program for you.

Learn the basics of modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering and animation for film. Learn basic animation principles including character animation using pre-built rigs. In this course, you’ll create a basic environment for use in either set design for movies or TV. Complete the week by sharing your projects with your classmates and take home a copy of your work to show your family and friends.

• Character design, modeling & rigging
• Creating textures with Maya® and managing Photoshop® work flow

Course may vary slightly based on student expertise & class interest. All students work on their own personal projects, which they keep.
