Learn how visual effects are created in Hollywood when you experience the thrilling world of movie production.

Use state-of-the-art equipment and industry-standard software to create visual effects like you’ve seen in the movies. This exciting experience goes beyond the screen. Learn how to composite video, use motion tracking, color correction, green screens and bring 3D graphics to life inside your own film. Upon completion of the program, you’ll take a home a DVD of your finished movie to show family and friends.

Course Content Software Used
• Basic introduction to visual effects
• Advanced camera techniques to create special effects within camera
• Layering, basic compositing, color correction
• Shooting green screen, masking
• Learn how to use FCPX, FCP Studio 2, Motion, After Effects, and more
• How to export & compress video for web, YouTube, mobile devices and DVD

Course may vary slightly based on student expertise & class interest. All students work on their own personal projects, which they keep.
