2-Day, Week-End Course

AVAILABLE SECTIONS:
Jan 16 & 17 (9am – 5pm)

2-Day, Week-End Course

This course takes students filmmaking skills to the next level. You’ll use professional cameras and equipment to explore advanced shooting techniques to expand your cinematic style and the quality of your productions. You’ll learn about professional audio–using shotgun microphones and boom poles. We’ll introduce lighting with three point lighting kits and green screens. And you’ll delve into complex editing, special effects and motion graphics with Final Cut Studio 3, Apple’s industry standard suite of tools for film and video postproduction.

The class will be taught using a “48-hour” film festival approach, where we screen the films at the end of the second day. Each student will edit his or her own version of the film.
