Teens: Digital Art & Graphic Design  

Develop the skills to be a master digital artist and designer

Video games, web sites, 3D animated movies and visual effects—at the foundation of all great digital media is creative graphic design and breathtaking digital art. In this course, develop and improve your digital art and graphic-design skills while mastering professional design tools like Adobe Photoshop® and Illustrator®.

Use professional graphics and tools while learning from professional artists. Over the course of the week you’ll design and create logos, photo montages, brochures and other creative media projects. Complete the week by putting together a portfolio of your work that you can share with friends, family…or with your next client!

What You’ll Learn: Digital Art & Graphic Design

Course Content Software Used
• Principles of composition & creating dynamic and interesting images
• Photoshop® working with layers, text & brushes
• Constructing colorized images from line art
• Colorization techniques working with selections, masks & adjustment layers
• The different kinds of typography, fonts, typeface and how to create text effects
• How to create art using Adobe® Illustrator® vector graphics and pathing
• How to create animated .gifs and work with different file formats

Course may vary slightly based on students skill levels & class interest. All students work on their own personal project and leave with it.

Ages 12-17 | Beginner-Advanced | No Art & Graphic Design Experience Required

This course is designed for aspiring digital artists who want to learn professional graphic-design techniques used in print, online and other types of media.
