Kids & Teens Instructors: Evan Briggs

DMA Instructor

Evan Briggs is currently an M.F.A. student in Stanford University’s graduate program in Documentary Film and Video. She first became interested in documentary as a senior in college through the Center for Documentary Studies in Durham, N.C. Evan moved to San Francisco shortly after graduation in 2000, where she worked as an intern at the Bay Area Video Coalition. The following year, she moved to Seattle and worked as a production assistant on several independent documentaries, as Festival Coordinator for the Hazel Wolf Environmental Film Network, and as a special education middle school teacher. She has directed, edited, and produced several short documentaries. Evan grew up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and holds a B.A. in Literature and French from Duke University.
