Canon’s Project Imagination film contest is a great opportunity for teen filmmakers to break into the big time:
Contestants start the process by selecting inspirational photos submitted in phase one of the contest; then use those for the concept of a short film (you can choose from 10 images). Entries are judged on their creativity and how well the finished product takes inspiration from those other sources.
For any media in your film that is not original (artwork, music, or pieces of other video), you’ll need to get copyright clearances, as well as permissions from every member of your cast and crew before you can submit the film for competition.
