About Regis University

DMA camps are not run by Regis University.

For students who want a pre-collegiate experience at a college they’re interested in attending or who just want to get away for the summer and explore a new city, Digital Media Academy offers the best of both worlds. Learn on the Regis University campus, eat in the same dining halls as Regis undergrads and students ages 12+ can even stay overnight.

See the St. John Francis Regis Chapel, Ranger Dome, Dayton Memorial Library, Hopkins Garden and the Felix Pomponio Family Science Center. Digital Media Academy selected Regis not only because of its commitment to transform society and its accelerated professional studies, but also because of the scenic Rocky Mountain location in Denver, Colorado.

Founded: 1877, by a group of exiled Italian Jesuits living in New Mexico.

Campus Size: 100 acres on the Lowell Campus, just northwest of the heart of downtown Denver.

Local Attractions: Students visiting Regis have a range of landmarks to visit, including the State Capitol, Denver Art Museum, the U.S. Mint and the History Colorado Center. They can also see the 16th Street Mall, Larimer Square, LoDo Historic District and Confluence Park. Denver was founded as a gold mining camp in 1858 and there are many historic attractions showing evidence of the Old West and there's even a museum dedicated to "Buffalo Bill" Cody.

Famous Alumni: Regis alumni include CNN reporter/anchorwoman Campbell Brown; Edwin Feulner, the former president of the Heritage Foundation; Charles F. Brannan, a former Secretary of Agriculture; and Jim Daly, president of Focus on the Family.

Good Works: Many students are involved in the “Father Woody’s Wheels” project. These students prepare 300 sack lunches per week and transport them to the community's homeless shelters. In addition, nearly 15,000 Regis students participated in community service of some kind during 2012.

Cool Facts: The British rock band Queen ("We Are the Champions") played its first U.S. gig at Regis University in 1974. Guitar god Jimi Hendrix also played there.

For 19 consecutive years, Regis University has obtained a top-tier ranking as one of the best colleges and universities in the United States by "U.S. News & World Report." A private nonprofit, coeducational school that stresses values education, Regis University serves a total enrollment of nearly 6,000 students
