Learn How Machines Work! Build Electronic Circuits, Solar Cars and Catapults

Explore the exciting world of science in a hands-on experience that will spark your imagination. Learn the basics of simple machines like levers, pulleys and wheel & axle combinations. Experience how electricity works by designing circuits and exploring electrical devices. Are you a fan of Angry Birds™? Then see how physics works by using a catapult to launch objects great distances. Plus, harness the power of the sun to construct your own green-powered solar car!

Build a foundation for lifelong scientific exploration or even a future career in science or engineering. Camp sessions are split between hands-on scientific explorations and computer engineering sessions using Scratch. Students learn introductory Scratch concepts by programming 2D video games or creating character animations.

Who Should Attend: Adventures in Science & Engineering
Ages 8–12 | Beginner – Advanced | No Programming or Engineering Experience Required

Is there a future scientist or engineer in your house? This course is designed just for them! But you don’t have to be an aspiring scientist or engineer to enjoy this camp. It’s also for any child interested in learning more about science.
