Here’s a way to inspire a budding young artist: Unleash their creativity through art! Learn how professional digital artists make great designs and create fine art. This course gives artists the opportunity to learn the basics and principles of professional art, including line, shape, form, color, proportion, balance, harmony and more.

Using Adobe® Photoshop® and Adobe® Illustrator®, every camper gets to explore their creativity by using professional art techniques to bringing their creation to life. Project work may include getting to design a web page concept, photo montage, magazine or book cover or other type of digital media. Campers get to choose the project that excites them the most, while professional instruction guides them every step of the way.

What You’ll Learn: Adventures in Art & Graphic Design

Course Content Software Used
• Principles of composition creating dynamic & interesting images
• Photoshop© & working with layers, text, and brushes
• Constructing colorized images from line art
• Colorization techniques working with selections, masks & adjustment layers using Photoshop©
• The different types of typography, fonts, typeface, & how to use them
• How to create art with Adobe® Illustrator® vectorgraphic images & pathing

Course may vary slightly based on student expertise & class interest. All students work on their own personal projects.

Ages 8-12 | Beginning to Advanced | No Artistic Background or Design Experience Required
