Learn the Basics of Acting and Filmmaking in this Moviemaking Adventure

While this camp features curriculum from DMA’s “Adventures in Filmmaking” course, the experience devotes special attention to acting in front of the camera. In this exciting moviemaking camp, young actors learn special techniques that are needed to perform on a movie set.

Campers are exposed to the casting process. They also learn choreographed combat (depending on film themes), public speaking skills and improvisation—all through fun and creative theater games. Future film stars gain experience working with a film crew, and then get to edit out their bloopers and add special effects using their own film-editing work station with Final Cut Pro®.

At the end of the week a student film festival allows kids to show off their work and see their acting on the big screen. Everyone in the camp takes home their performance on video to show family and friends!
