For Adults: Final Cut Pro 200: A Comprehensive Study

A comprehensive study of Final Cut Pro 7 – Apple Certified

This five-day hands-on course teaches students to perform basic editing functions while becoming familiar with the Final Cut Pro user interface. The course is based on FCP 101: An Introduction to Final Cut Pro. However, the lessons are covered in five days, instead of three, allowing for more comprehensive coverage of the lessons.

In this course, you will cut a scene from the TNT television series Leverage, create a promo for Seaworld’s Believe documentary, and master filters and effects while editing a segment of the international music-creation event, Playing for Change. Towards the end of the week, you will edit your own personal project.

The course begins with basic video editing techniques and works all the way through Final Cut Pro’s powerful advanced features. You will learn to mark and edit clips, mix sound, add titles, create transitions, apply filters and more. Topics include basic setup, customizing preferences and settings, capturing video and audio, various editing and trimming techniques, Ripple, Roll, Slip, and Slide tools, audio editing and audio creation, finishing and final output.

This course covers the requirements necessary to successfully become an Apple Certified Pro, Level 1 in Final Cut Pro. Level 1 certification attests to basic operational knowledge of the application.
