Dreamweaver CS3:
Course Overview
From education to advertising, the Web has become an integral part of our everyday lives. Now you can take this unique opportunity to learn how to create your own Web site in this one-week creative Web design course. We'll teach you how to design, layout, test, manage, and publish interactive web sites.
Using Dreamweaver CS3, the industry standard web design tool, you will work on step-by step projects that focus on incorporating text, images, links, rollovers and tables into attractive and effective pages. Additional techniques include image maps, creative background tiles, popup windows and inserting QuickTime movies. In addition, an introductory lesson in Photoshop will cover image sizing, cropping and compressing images for for the Web.
Thursday and Friday are devoted to working on your own final Dreamweaver project with instructor guidance. Suggested projects include: a school web site, an online portfolio, a creative photo essay, a business promo site, a personal blog, or simply an experimental site to practice your new skills. Bring any photos, artwork or text you may want to incorporate into your final project. Content for final projects will be available to those who wish to use it. At the end of the week, you'll have your own completed site to show off to your friends and colleagues.
Each student will work on her/his own computer in one of our state of-the-art academic classrooms. If you can stay for more than one Week, we recommend that you follow this Web Design II with Dreamweaver & Flash.
Prerequisites
All students who have an interest in Dreamweaver
Training or web design are encouraged to register for this course.
However, we require that all students have at least basic experience
using a Macintosh (OS X preferred) or Windows based PC.
