Course Overview
Take your Extreme Sports Filmmaking skills to the next level with this new and exciting summer film camp from DMA’s Action Sports and Media program! The Extreme Sports Video Production II film camp will maintain the same ingredients that made level I such a hit last year:
- Top notch professional level instruction from Travis Schlafmann
- Actual filmimg & instruction at professional X-sports exhibitions
- State of the art production and post production equipment
- Guest speakers from the extreme sports video industry
- Exciting project based learning experience
This film camp is the perfect next step for those who took the level I course last summer or for those who want to take level I and II together this summer. It is also appropriate for those who have the necessary experience to jump right into this exciting digital media summer camp experience.
During the week students will be taught the essential elements of what goes into making a professional level extreme sports video including:
- Advanced shooting techniques with wide angle, fish-eye and zoom lenses
- Advanced audio production techniques using boom, shotgun and lavaliere mics
- Editing and visual effects techniques using Final Cut Studio
By week's end students will have created one to two portfolio-ready projects.
Prerequisites
Extreme Sports Video Production I or equivalent experience.
