Course Description

This Maya training course is dedicated to the finer points of character animation. For example, we’ll apply blendshapes to create customized facial animation controls, and we’ll explore arcs, spine and hip placement, weight shift and other character animation techniques will be explored.

Each student in this training course will produce several mini-scenes in which a character or characters walk, talk and speak. These scenes will include interaction with their surroundings and other characters. Multiple playblasts will be created as well as portfolio-ready rendered clips.

Anyone who wants to improve their Maya 3D character animation skills and learn advanced techniques.

Certification & Credit Offered

This course is part of a DMA Certification in Maya and also qualifies for Stanford University Continuing Studies credit. Learn more.

Maya I and Maya II or equivalent experience.
