You can count on our trained adult staff to provide close supervision and lots of safe fun activities.
Adult attendees can find many things to do in the surrounding areas of all of our great locations. There are some attraction ideas posted on the attendee info page.
What risk-management precautions do you take to ensure the safety of your attendees?
For Teen and Adventure Programs:
We employ a secure check-in and checkout system for day campers. No one is allowed to pick up your child without proper identification and written authorization on file. All our counselors carry cell phones and can be easily reached at any time. Campers are supervised at all times. We use the “buddy system” to ensure your child’s safety. In addition to our stringent background checks, we use the common sense, no “one-on-one” rule. We require all our staff to undergo thorough risk management and emergency procedures training. All our computers are protected with strict Internet content filtering software.
For Adult Programs:
All of our instructors and DMA employees have had stringent background checks.
What if I have a medical emergency?
All staff members are First Aid and CPR Certified, so we are equipped to handle minor injuries ourselves. Emergency facilities are nearby in the rare instance that they are needed. Parents of teens and kids will be notified immediately whenever sickness or injury occurs.
Can I visit my child?
Of course you can! In fact, we encourage you to come on Friday afternoon at 3pm to see all the incredible projects that were made during the week. If you need to visit at other times during the day, Monday-Friday, just check-in at the DMA Office and we’ll escort you over to the classroom after verifying your identity. If your child is staying overnight and you need to see her/him, you’ll have a few cell phone numbers to call to make those arrangements.
