Instructor: Mark Spencer
Mark Spencer is a freelance producer, editor, teacher and writer based in the San Francisco Bay area. His company, Day Street Productions, is a production and post studio specializing in corporate video. An Apple Certified Instructor in Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro and Motion, Mark has taught for organizations such as BAVC, Stanford University, DV Expo and MacWorld, in addition to providing consulting services to corporations and individual clients.
He is also the author or co-author of three Apple Pro Training Series books from Peachpit Press, including “Motion 4,” and has written for a variety of print and online publications including DV Magazine, EditWell, ProVideo Coalition and kenstone.net. Mark maintains the Web site www.applemotion.net, a resource for Motion. “I am a big Motion fan,” he says, “And use it extensively for text treatments, animated elements and DVD menus.”
Mark holds an MBA degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. His varied background includes 15 years of experience working in finance, sales and marketing positions—giving him keen insights into the business side of video production…which he shares with eager DMA students.
