Instructor: Betsy Kopmar

Adobe After Effects Instructor

DMA Instructor Betsy Kopmar

Betsy Kopmar has been teaching Motion Graphics in the New Media Department at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco for the past five years.

In these courses Adobe After Effects is used to design, animate, and integrate a wide mix of materials from video, still photography, illustration and music; her students regularly receive prizes for their outstanding work in this area.

She has taught After Effects to undergraduate, graduate, and high school students and finds that they all thrive in this program and find new ways to use the software and to express themselves.“Our students love After Effects – it’s got everything – motion, music, color, type and can be used for such a broad range of projects, from adding motion and typography to screens and portfolios, to high end animation and compositing projects.”

Betsy is an Adobe Master Teacher and an Adobe Certified Expert in After Effects and her most recent projects include “An Introduction to Motion Graphics” for the Adobe Curriculum Exchange. She can be reached at kopmar@pacbell.net.
