Ben Waggoner Digital is a consulting, training, and encoding company that provides consulting, training, and encoding services to companies creating digital media, or products that create digital media. Clients include Microsoft, Adobe, Canopus, Sorenson Media, Getty Images, Envivio, Cablevision, VBrick, and IGN.

Ben Waggoner, principal, is an expert in video compression, and became one of the nation’s first full-time compressionists in 1994. Before establishing his own firm, he served as the Director of Consulting Services for Terran Interactive. Ben is a contributing editor for DV Magazine covering compression and other topics; his book, Compression for Great Digital Video: Power Tips, Techniques and Common Sense, was published August 2002 by CMP Books.

Ben is a fixture on the trade show circuit, regularly presenting at shows including NAB, MacWorld, DV Expo and Streaming Media.
