Learn professional shooting techniques and expert Photoshop® tips in this introductory program that will help make your digital photos world-class. Take advantage of this opportunity to train with professional photographers. Learn to consistently produce superior-quality images and how to easily fix problems with your photos using Photoshop®—the world standard in image manipulation. Working with your own digital camera, you’ll get personalized field-based instruction on how to improve your photography and then in the classroom use Photoshop® and your creativity to enhance your images for final presentation.

What You’ll Learn: Introduction to Digital Photography & Photoshop

Course Content Software Used
• Getting to know your DSLR camera settings: what they do & when to use them
• Basic digital work flow: downloading, editing & organizing images
• Working with the RAW format: intro to RAW images & the Adobe® Camera RAW Converter®
• Basic introduction to Photoshop®: color correction, sharpening, easy touch-ups & quick image optimization
• How to optimize in-camera exposures
• Basic portrait techniques using natural light & intro to portrait touch-ups
• Basic Photoshop® layering/masking techniques & panoramic landscape stitching

Course may vary slightly based on student expertise & class interest. All students work on their own personal projects, which they keep.
