Pro Series: Digital Filmmaking with DSLRs
Learn Professional Digital-Filmmaking Techniques for DSLR Cameras
Experiencing each phase of filmmaking from pre- to post-production, students learn how to operate a DSLR camera under almost every situation. They learn composition, how to control depth of field, manage low-light situations and use different focal lengths. Students find out how to shoot a movie using a DSLR camera, how to optimize DSLR media for editing, color correction, editing using Final Cut Pro X® and how to record and sync quality audio.
Proper lens selection and creative shooting techniques are just two of the topics students master. This is a hands-on, project-based course that includes lessons on media compression and output – all while students make their very own short films that are premiered in an intimate film-festival environment at the end of the week.
DSLR shooting has become immensely popular in the video-production world and offers many advantages. The image sensors in DSLR cameras are incredibly sophisticated and the resulting images can be stunning. This course shows you how to get the most out of a DSLR camera.
